GLASGOW CITY CENTRE WALKING TOUR
Walk with the self-styled Glasgow Gander around Glasgow City Centre, from Royal Exchange Square to Glasgow Cathedral, taking in the city's famed Victorian architecture, and drinking deeply of its vibrant atmosphere. Learn the fascinating story of Glasgow in the company of a passionate guide. Points of interest include: Royal Exchange Square, Buchanan Street, George Square and Glasgow City Chambers, Trades Hall, the Merchant City, Glasgow Cross, High Street and the Cathedral Precinct.
WHERE WE LEAVE FROM
The tour leaves from just north of the Gallery of Modern Art on Royal Exchange Square*. (Outside COSTA Coffee; see map below for exact location.) When you get to the front of the Gallery of Modern Art (near the Duke of Wellington statue, with the cone on his head) keep your eye out for the man in the Glasgow Gander jacket!
* Not George Square!
Glasgow Cathedral, approximately 15 minutes walk from George Square.
It is with great regret that I have decided to suspend all walking tours from Monday 16th March until further notice. I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Two members of my immediate family are in a vulnerable group for Coronavirus, and I have decided to engage in social distancing in order to prevent infection. I'm really sorry that I won't be able to show you around Glasgow this time, but if you are back in the city in a few months, I'd love to see you again. I hope that you and your loved ones get on okay at this difficult time.
All the best,
