GLASGOW CITY CENTRE WALKING TOUR

Walk with the self-styled Glasgow Gander around Glasgow City Centre, from Royal Exchange Square to Glasgow Cathedral, taking in the city's famed Victorian architecture, and drinking deeply of its vibrant atmosphere. Learn the fascinating story of Glasgow in the company of a passionate guide. Points of interest include: Royal Exchange Square, Buchanan Street, George Square and Glasgow City Chambers, Trades Hall, the Merchant City, Glasgow Cross, High Street and the Cathedral Precinct. 

 

WHERE WE LEAVE FROM

The tour leaves from just north of the Gallery of Modern Art on Royal Exchange Square*. (Outside COSTA Coffee; see map below for exact location.) When you get to the front of the Gallery of Modern Art (near the Duke of Wellington statue, with the cone on his head) keep your eye out for the man in the Glasgow Gander T-shirt/jacket!

TOUR LENGTH

1.5 miles/2.4km, about 3 hours

PLEASE NOTE: There is no planned toilet break, although toilets are available along the route. The tour is wheelchair accessible, though the last half mile is uphill (from Glasgow Cross to Glasgow Cathedral).
